Updates on Managing Your Data in Availity® Essentials

Oct. 21, 2025

The Provider Data Management tool in Availity Essentials is updated with a new look and more uniform workflow for you to quickly update and attest to the accuracy of your information with us. The update includes a new process for changing office and payment locations.

What’s changing in PDM

  • PDM now has a single workflow to attest to your information. Previously there were two workflows − Directory Verification and Core PDM.
  • Smart Alerts inform you if PDM received any updates you've made with other payers. You can accept or deny the updates during your review.
  • When updating your office or payment location, you must now delete your old address and add your new address within the same submission. There is no longer an option to modify an address. Follow these steps in your attestation:
  1. Add your new address
  2. Delete your old address
  3. Submit your verified profile

Don’t submit a new address on one submission and then delete your old address on a separate submission. If changes are submitted separately, we won’t be able to make the update through PDM and will maintain your old address. If that happens, you can use our Demographic Change Form to report your address change.

What’s not changing in PDM
In addition to updating your service and payment addresses, you can continue to update and verify this information through PDM:

  • Business website URL
  • Provider’s personal information
  • Service location contact information
  • Contact information
  • Language spoken
  • Hours of operation

For more details, refer to our PDM user guide
